Ovidio Perez So many things to say about this book and the way things ended. I like to start off with the fact that Clancy is on the run and most likely has his memoirs back. Which means we have an evil orange on the run doing who knows what. I wished Ruby would have just killed Clancy by now, but no let him live. We have an evil menace like Moore trying to win the election to seize power. Who is also working with Mercer the evil crime boss in charge of blue star. I hope Su (aka) Suzume dirt on them gets them both locked up in jail for life or the kids could always murder them. I kind of want to slap Lana who is Roman sister very badly. Now Lana cares about her brother after the whooping they gave him and the cell they were both locked in. O Priyanka, my love I don’t know what you see in Lana as a romantic love interest, but Priyanka could do way better. But ‘hey’ at least now we have both Roman and Lana away from Mercer evil grip. I am happy that Max managed fish through Liam mind to find Ruby and they were able to rescue her, but I wanted to be there for Ruby when she awoke. I am concerned about the state in which Ruby was left in and very little to add only a photo of her staring out the window with a smile on her face. What a cliffhanger we were left on with we don’t even know what will happen to everyone now that they are free. How will the bad guys plot next now that their plans have been exposed and how the world will react. I literally need the next book right now… >.<”

Estefanía Well, Alex said this would be a stand alone buuut, that ending, I can't. It leaves too many questions, and as you said, I wanted more about Ruby and the photo doesn't give me much comfort, I would also like to see how they rebuild haven and many details that missed, so I hope Alex at least gives us a short story to clear some things.

Don't worry Estefania, I am positive there will be a next book to series, because it leaves too much information unattended. I would also love to see heaven rebuild as well. Who knows maybe they won't even need a safe heaven. I desperately hope the kids get the freedom they deserve.

I agree

Sophia Almeida I agree, there definitely has to be another book coming out, there were just way to many unanswered questions. At least I hope and pray there will be because if there is not I will have to have a long talk with Alexandra Bracken and have a break down. Anyway, on another note, I really enjoyed Zu's point of view (though I still wish we could get some more Ruby+Liam action) but a lot of people don't. What are your opinions on the new change?

Estefanía I like Zu, but for some reason I felt that her narrative was a little too similar to Ruby's. I love them both but I don't think Zu's personality really shone through. Other than that and the fact that we don't really know what happened to Ruby I really enjoyed the book.

Sophia Almeida I definitely see what you're saying I think its just that Alexandra has written from Ruby's point of view in the past's books, so it must have been a challenge to write from Zu's. And I can see a lot of similarities but there are also some differences. I am also angry that we don't really know what happened to Ruby. I wish we got more on her story and what went down between her and Clancy.

Estefanía Right! I had even forgoten about the Clancy thing.

message 9: by bree (new) - added it

bree So I just got the book series for Christmas, but for some reason, I only got the original trilogy and the 'Darkest Minds Collection.' I wish I got this book too, though I already got it spoiled by someone else.
I see how everyone's been saying they want more Ruby. And I agree. Though this discussion was pretty much last year, I still feel as though all of your questions are totally relevant.
I personally want more Ruby+Liam action, but we don't always get our ways. I LOVED RUBY+LIAM SO FREAKING MUCH. I wish we got too see more of them :)
Also, I feel as though this book might have been better in Ruby's perspective, but, alas, the book is already written. I think that since Zu's perspective in this book is very alike Ruby's it could have been written in either perspective - just with different characters and a slightly different plotline.
Although the book is great, I liked Ruby's perspective a lot more - even though I haven't read the book yet. (I got the book spoiled by someone)
