I read this book probably in 2012. It is a book set in a rural area of florida. The title may have something to do with recipes. There are really old fashioned, gross sounding retro recipes through out it- think something along the lines of bologna cake. I can't remember any of the other main plot points but I remember loving this book and i am kind of turning into a florida book fanatic so I want to re-read it and add to my lists!

I think it may have been a mystery possibly. I remember the beginning something about a bus trip. the end involved drinking sweet tea on a front porch
