there is no way in heck you read fifteen books in one day

message 54: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) I have read the Harry Potter series twice, and would read it again if my mom would let me. She said she never sees me when I read HP. Lol

message 55: by Audrey (new)

Audrey | 27 comments well, everyone sort of does get wrapped up in Harry Potter, so they don't leave their room for hours.

Yes there is. How do you know If I can't?

message 57: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) Yeah.

Does anyone else act out parts in books? I do it all the time, and get caught casting a spell with a weird look on my face.

They were probably 15 pages long each.

Yeah, I saw a thing that Jack Thorne, the play writer of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, acted out what he was writing in coffee shops. I am so glad I saw that. Makes me feel better about myself...

message 62: by Mystic Orange (new)

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) They were not.

message 63: by Audrey (new)

Audrey | 27 comments rumell, calm down

message 64: by Mystic Orange (new)

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) I am calm. I am just responding to your comment.

Seriously?

message 70: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) Okay, how long were they?

message 71: by Mystic Orange (new)

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) The last book I read was 453 pages. Which was Journey to the End of the Night.

message 72: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) That's ridiculous.

message 73: by Mystic Orange (new)

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) You don't even know about me. Stop making assumptions like that. I find it rude.

message 74: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) Sorry.

message 75: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) I was saying that reading that many books is ridiculous, as in "I don't know how you do that."

message 76: by Mystic Orange (last edited Dec 23, 2018 09:57AM) (new)

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) There are lot of people like that. I basically go to my local library regularly. I have real life book groups and I also binge read book series. I even read things in the library archives. I just can't stop reading. I think I might be one of them who just wont stop. I think when January starts I will read by a limit. I've been planning to read less in 2019. I think I will log everything and have less reading goals. I always schedule my reading.

message 77: by Mystic Orange (new)

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) I always try to prioritise everything that I try to read. But that isn't just reading. I also try to stress in my studies and my writing. I am currently in college and I need to be dedicated in my reading.

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) That's my new goal, Rumell. I am going to read 15 books in one day. I'm going to do it. Somehow...

message 82: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) I know, that is true, very true.

People read for goals and competitions for fun. There is nothing wrong with goals or competition.

I thought I was the only one.

message 85: by Mystic Orange (new)

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) I know. I am classified as boring according to my peers because of it.

message 86: by Mystic Orange (new)

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) I guess I know what my New Years Resolution might be but I doubt I will achieve since nothing stops me from reading.

message 87: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) Yes. Yes. Yes.

message 88: by Harper Nicole (new)

Harper Nicole (harpernicole) Well, I just started so I can't say. But I don't think I will, because I read enough already.

Mystic Orange (Rumell) (rkrespectedmember) Emily wrote: "Do you guys do the Goodreads Reading Challenge thing?"

Yes. I also participate in group reading challenges.

I don't think I will do it for 2019. I just don't like the official challenge.
