I'm not sure what you mean? Why not pick the second book of a series? Zaara did so as well with The Desert Spear...
And the goal of this challenge is to reduce the number of books on my TBR... I added all books I own, so I can't add more...

Sorry I was too late... But I'm glad it worked :)

I meant to say that putting a series there means that if someone picked first in the series for you then it is understood that you are going to read second, third, or fourth book too. But I didn't know you own all those books, hence the suggestion. :)
I nominate Fool's Quest.

That's ok Anni. :) Manju's reply didn't make sense for her but turned out to make sense for me. :D
It was pretty funny actually!! 😂🤣

And the goal of this challenge is to reduce the number of books..."
Haha, not necessarily... I guess a decend person would read a series back to back, but sometimes I fancy something else and than the series sits half finished on my shelf. That's why I end up with too many unfinished series.
And thanks, I will add it.

Sometimes it's really funny how ozr brains work 😂

That sounds really promising, and I'm glad you chose that book. I own it far too long and without a little nudge it might have stayed on my shelf for much longer... So thanks :)

Personally I think your bingo challenge is lacking some action packed testosterone so I nominate Legend by David Gemmel
I would put it after desert spear your gonna need it
I’m hoping by the end of the book you’ll probably grow a beard by how epic and bad ass it is....and you’ll probably get arthritis as well 😂😂😂😂

Perhaps we could convince him to start a challenge like this also and then choose only 800+ pages tomes for him. :D

P.S. - have you read any other Ken Folletts?

Perhaps we could convince him to start a challenge like this a..."
Yes, please do! :)
You mean Legend? It's not that thick isn't it?
Not like Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrel, for example, this one is huge 😂 But thanks for choosing it Kari! :)

You think so? And here was I thinking my Bingo challenge already had some action packed testosterone :D I hope I won't grow a beard, I don't think it will match with my haircut...

I do, but I already read most of them :)

And Ahdam is right. Drenai books are all on the smaller side. :)

I do, but I already read most of them :)"
Okay good, because I have read a lot of his books too and Whiteout is not a great introduction for someone to his work, so asked!

It didn't even cross my mind he's gonna go for it but he did!!!

By the way? Did you vote on mine?
And you should reserve one more comment just in case. I needed it.

And Ahdam is right. Drenai books are all on the smaller side. :)"
But that's the one Ahdam picked for me and the one I thought you were referring to 😅
So you could choose again

Haha, as I added it I was already wondering if someone beside you knows it, I'm not sure how popular Kästner is abroad. I will keep it in mind, if no one else shows up :)

Ah, thanks fir the warning anyway! So you already read it? Years ago I read a lot historical fiction books and books by Ken Follett. I bought Whiteout back then, but somehow never picked it up because I wasn't in the mood...

That's why I chose it, haha :)

I'll choose The Eight Guardian then, because it's on the shorter side, the blurb sounds interesting and I'm curious to see how you'll like it. :)

Heeee :-) didnt know this 😂😂😂 ARE they terrible books??
Oooooooupss...just remembered you were gonna read the Demon Cycle with Hailee and figured you will make it at least to Book 2, before deciding...then...just in case you "needed" some extra motivation to continue...this might tip the scale...
😜😈

I would like to nominate...
Half a King because I really liked it, and The Left Hand of God so I can read it with you! XD"
Ohkkk I see you need a couple more votes? I see Siobhan chose The Left Hand of God...I have the trilogy too...so Book 2 of that.
And it's Slot #25...I'm ringing that closing bell.
Also they have some crap reviews out there for this one too...that's sooooo me...with the tasteless, non-classy book selections. Haha, Ooooouuuuw!
Keep it on "standby" in case others come in and want to vote later in the day...
Happy 2019, luv.

Yes I read it last year and did not like it.
I read a lot of Ken Follett's when I was 13ish - my cousin grandmother borrowed from her library and she always shared her books with me.
I haven't read his trilogies, only almost all the standalones

Only the cow died when nobody was looking and its soul went to the bovine everafter...it was just.so.tired...
Luckily all the books stand alone. You should read the first book, Kari. The hype wasn't just for nothing...if you like it, read the second book but cut ties with the series after...you'll thank me...

I will try, same here with the Forsyth, my library was full of them and somebody called Irvine something.

No thanks, I now have 26 Recs instead of 25 😂
Thanks everyone, I'm really excited to start!

I'll choose The Eight Guardian then, because it's on the shorter side, the blurb sounds interesting and I'm curious to see how you'll like it. :)"
Thanks, I'll report :)

I already read book 1 of the Demon Cycle a while ago and actually liked it, especially the worldbuilding, but I heared the series went downhill, but who knows, maybe we will love it! :) I already own book 1-4 and I plan to read them all!
And thanks for choosing, we should read them together!
