female is put in cell to be fed to or consumed by imprisoned powerful male supernatural being. He was intrigued by her, i believe and didn't consume her. He didn't eat people but rather consumed them in his black cloudy form, if i remember correctly. He was controlled and abused by those who imprisoned and they used some device or necklace to keep him under control. Female lead was in different part of prison before being sent to him as food. She falls for him and hates how they treat him and helps him to escape. There is a second book too and there after free and escaped from prison they go back to earth where she is from. Powerful supernatural male separates from her, but watches over her from a distance. She is being called to this town to rule the supernatural world, i believe but doesn't want to. She travels around helping supernaturals in need of help from bad shifter packs who are abusing weaker members. She saves a teen in one of those towns, who follows her around. As the growing number of atrocities and the magical pull get stronger she finally makes her way to the place she is being drawn to. Her family was rich cause her family owned a hotel where she stayed with the three kids she rescued, she also stayed at this hotel growing up and knew the staff. That is all I can remember plot wise, i think she was a shifter herself, maybe dragon. I read it as an amazon ebook. Any help is much appreciated, not remembering is driving me crazy and I would love to reread this series. Thanks for any help in advance
