Where does this book fit?
Katy wrote: "Pua wrote: "Hi! I'm almost finished with In a Dark, Dark Wood by Ruth Ware and I'm trying to figure out where it will fit. Thanks!"A plant on the cover."
Haha, it's so hard to tell! I thought I was stretching it with "wood" and thinking, hmm, plant? Thanks for the suggestion.
Carmen wrote: "Is there a good spot for "A Northern Light" by Jennifer Donnelly? My friend wants me to read it, but I'm not sure where to place it. Thanks!"
Based on the description it's a debut novel and sounds like it has an amateur detective. There also seems to be an element of true story, but you'd have to judge if it was enough for you. If you're flexible with matching titles you could pair it with Northern Lights (the original title for The Golden Compass) for two books with the same title.

Good to hear! I'll have to pick this one up :)

Lucy wrote: "Can anyone think of somewhere to fit Murder on the Orient Express?"You might be able to use it for the amateur detective prompt. While he used to be a detective for the Belgian police, he was no longer on the force when he appears in the books. But then again, he is considered a private investigator...not sure if that would make him an amateur detective then.
Lucy wrote: "Can anyone think of somewhere to fit Murder on the Orient Express?"Or how about a recommendation by a celebrity you admire: After all, Kenneth Branagh was intrigued enough to turn it into and direct the most recent movie and actors like Michelle Pfeiffer and Johnny Depp played in it. I'm sure one of them recommended the book as well.
Simone wrote: "Other than "A movie in 2019," what prompts would
fit?"I think you might need to use one of the more open prompts (meant to read in 2018, favourite past challenge prompt, possibly recommended by a celebrity).

If you count the article "the" it´s also a two-word title.

The "about a family" prompt seems like it would also work.
Not sure where this book could fit unless I find another book titled "Alive" Alive: The Story of the Andes Survivors??

The prompt is for a novel based on a true story though, I'm not sure Alive fits in the novel category. It's a tough one, maybe there's a prompt in the past challenges that it will fit into if you haven't already used the wildcard prompt?

Yeah the based on a true story sort of depends on how much flexibility the readers want to apply to the prompt.

Personally, I'm getting more flexible by the day.

This might be a stretch, but it sort of looks like there's a tree on the cover, so it could be a book with a plant on the cover.

I am reading Call of the Wild for a book club I am in, and haven't been able to figure out where to put it. Could it fit for a prompt for a past Popsugar challenge that anyone could think of?
Patricia wrote: "I am reading Call of the Wild for a book club I am in, and haven't been able to figure out where to put it. Could it fit for a prompt for a past Popsugar challenge that anyone could think of?"I've heard it's going to be adapted into a movie this year.
I'm looking at the "all past categories" thread.
2015 had a "nonhuman characters" prompt
2016 had an "under 150 pages" prompt, depending on what edition of the book you have, and "classic from the 20th century" [CotW was first published in 1903]
2017 - "set in the wilderness"
Mariam wrote: "Any suggestions on which prompts Red Rising by Pierce Brown fits?"I'm using this for A Book Set in Space. It may be reaching, but I'm ok with it.

If you use a prompt from last year, it is based on a true story. (The Lindbergh kidnapping).

I'm reading The Line That Held Us and I can't figure out where to put it. I've already fulfilled the "book about a family" prompt and that's all I could think of.
Any ideas? Thank you!
