hello all!i need help with My Year of Rest and Relaxation
my past popsugar prompt is already fulfilled... anyone have any ideas for this book?

But what do we know, we only live here. Also Finnish is THE main language in Finland, over 90% of Finns speak it as their native language, and it's one of the reasons why Finland is NOT a part of Scandinavia (culture, history, geography, even mythology are some of the others).
Maybe I need to chill with nonfiction... seriously struggling with some of these. Any ideas where to fit The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown?

From the description it looks like The Last of August takes place in winter so if you read it soon-ish it will count for being read in the season it is set in

- should be a movie (except for the first two, of course, since they are actually movies)
- inspired by myth
- involves an imaginary creature
- someone with a superpower
- author w same first and last initials

The full title of the clothing prompt is "a book with an item of clothing or accessory on the cover" - I'd say a tiara is definitely an accessory! :)
Just commented over in the weekly thread - it takes places in a day, it´s the perfect book for that prompt.
I recently bought The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and The Woman in Cabin 10 for the bookset in Scandinavia prompt, not realizing it until I was in the car. So my question is does either book fit into another prompt as well? Thanks for any help!

The author has written a collection of short stories but this is her first novel so I guess it depends on how you interpret the prompt but I think it works.
You can use a book about a family for Kindred or if that doesn't work, I'm sure plenty of celebrities have recommended it so you just have to find one you "admire" ;)

we've had discussions about that in the "own voices" post! It's a little controversial.
It is my impression that, yes, the actual definition of "own voices" is FICTION, a novel in which one of the characters shares a marginalized identity with the author. However ... the originator of the term has emphasized that the definition is fluid and she did not intend to restrict "own voices" to one particular thing (it had started out applying to only children's books and slowly grew to include all ages).
So, it's up to you, if you want to be a literalist, then it should be fiction, but if you are fine with stretching the prompt to suit your needs, then it can be memoir too.
