I'm currently reading Dragonfly in Amber and will be starting The Clockmaker's Daughter soon. Any thoughts on where I should put these ones?
Ashley wrote: "I'm currently reading Dragonfly in Amber and will be starting The Clockmaker's Daughter soon. Any thoughts on where I should put these ones?"Dragonfly in Amber could fit in "about a family" or "book with a wedding"
The Clockmaker's Daughter could be used for "revolving around a puzzle" since it's a mystery
Dragonfly in Amber would work for a book about a family. Parts of the book take place in a hospital connected to a convent. The Clockmaker's Daughter would work for a ghost story.
Christina wrote: "would you say The Secret of the Old Clock by Carolyn Keene works as debut novel since Carolyn Keene is a writer pen name that was used by many different people over the y..."I used it for prompt #2. 'A book that makes you nostalgic'. I devoured this series when I was a kid. :)
About family, Sandra. I haven't read it but it sounds like multiple POV could fit if the use both girls as narrators.
Abi wrote: "Any suggestions for Only Ever Yours?"I'm thinking "A book you think should be turned into a movie". It looks like the rights were signed over for a movie in 2015 but has yet to be produced. So it should still count.
Also, it appears to be the author's first book, so it could be "A debut novel".
I just bought *A Little History of the World* by E.H. Gombrich and I'm having a hard time figuring out where to include it in my list. any suggestions?
Trying to get to these books this year. Any idea on where they could fit in the challenge? ~Thanks!-Big Little Lies, Liane Moriarty
-Shantaram, Gregory David Roberts
-She's Come Undone, Wally Lamb
-The Lovely Bones, Alice Sebold
-The Alienist, Caleb Carr
-Jitterbug Perfume, Tom Robbins
-The Husband's Secret, Liane Moriarty
-The Nix, Nathan Hill
-I Hear She's A Bitch, Jen Agg
-The Incendiaries, R. O. Kwon
The Alienist is amateur detective, even though the female character and 2 of the fingerprint guys work for the police. The 2 main male characters are not police.
Incendiaries - 32 author from AsiaLovely Bones - 36 ghost story
She's Come Undone - 11 clothing on the cover (my version has a dress on a dress form)
Harry wrote: "Where would Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom by John O'Donohuefit? Thank you."I'm thinking it could be: 12. A book inspired by myth/legend/folklore

The Alienist, Caleb Carr is 35. A book by an author whose first and last names start with the same letter

Big Little Lies - book about a family; multiple POVs - there are quotes from different characters about what their perception of what happened that night
Lovely Bones - at least one million ratings; "love" in the title; about a family; ghost story; two-word title

Thanks but I already filled that one with The Gospel of Loki.
monica gaither wrote: "Where would Daisy Jones and the Six fit? Besides a celebrity book pick. Thank you!"Published in 2019 or plant in the title?
Daisy Jones and the Six would also fit in a book that should be a movie or a book that makes you nostalgic, depending on your age.
monica gaither wrote: "Where would Daisy Jones and the Six fit? Besides a celebrity book pick. Thank you!"I used it for book without chapters/unusual chapter headings.
"My Sister ... " is a debut novel, you may think it would make a good movie, the author is from Africa, and maybe you meant to read it in 2018? (It was published at the end of the year.)
Bhavna wrote: "Hi where can My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite fit? Thanks"I'm only 2 chapters in, but I'm using it as "should be made into a movie" because...sister serial killer LOL. I hope it delivers.
Bhavna wrote: "Hi where can My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite fit? Thanks"The author lives in Lagos, Nigeria - "32. A book author from Asia, Africa, or South America"
Possibly also - "31. A book about a family"
Thanks. Can My Sister, the Serial Killer by Oyinkan Braithwaite fit into any of the previous year's prompts?
There is ALWAYS a previous previous prompt that works!! I think it was 2015 that had a category for "author under 30" - that would fit here. I'm sure a bunch more would work too.
I'm reading The Lady from the Black Lagoon: Hollywood Monsters and the Lost Legacy of Milicent Patrick and I'm having a hard time finding a place for it. Any ideas?
Stacy wrote: "Any suggestions on where The Woman in the Window by A.J. Finn would fit?"Haha, I was going to say in the bin, but that's a bit shady! To explain - I was going to read this but I've decided against that after reading some revelations about the author.
But I was going to use it for "book becoming a movie in 2019" so you could slot it in there.
Aly wrote: "I'm reading The Lady from the Black Lagoon: Hollywood Monsters and the Lost Legacy of Milicent Patrick and I'm having a hard time finding a place for it. Any ideas?"-A book that's published in 2019
-Your favorite prompt from a past POPSUGAR Reading challenge - A book by a female author (2015)

I was considering "published in 2019," so I guess I'll go with that. Thanks!

Big Little Lies - told from multiple POV, about a family

Any idea where Twist of Faith would fit? I just got it off the waiting list at the library and now I can't remember why I requested it...none of my friends have read it and I don't have it listed anywhere for the challenge. I'm so confused!
Devon wrote: "Any idea where Twist of Faith would fit? I just got it off the waiting list at the library and now I can't remember why I requested it...none of my friends have read it and I don't ..."That's happened to me a few times lately. I hate that.

I'm sure it is because it sounded good based on a description in this group, but it can be confusing.
