(view spoiler)[Yeah, I also like Theron more. I think Mather is a bit too stiff or something haha and also, Theron thinks of her more. Its not that Mather is a bad guy, and I liked him at first, but after he sold Meira, even if he wanted to "fix it", It just wasn't the same.
And I also suspected Meira was the actual heir. I don't know if it is because I've read similar books or if the author gives too many hints, but since the way they acted when she was captured in the earlier chapters, I suspected she was important somehow. (hide spoiler)]

This is interesting so far, but I'm a little confused. There has not been a lot of information about this world yet. Hopefully we get some more details.

I think that the next book is going to be more about them dealing with Angra. I know that Angra is the big bad in this book, but I kind of like him a little. I don't really know why I do, but I do!

I don't dislike Mather, he has been put in hard situations where you have to do things you don't want to for the greater good, but he seems to be angry at Meira whenever she spends time with Theron. I mean she is being forced to marry him so of course you would want to get to know the person better. I don't get why Mather gets so angry when she spends time with Theron. (hide spoiler)]

I think Meira was in love with Mather because she knew him so well
but they definitely grew up unequal and I think that will always be there, in their relationship

Theron has really just been wonderful to her since she first stepped foot in his castle. He reassured her they would be okay together, that he would protect her but also respect her and keep her equal. He's been great. I hope she goes back to him and stops waffling. She can fight for her KING and yet not have to be in love with him (hide spoiler)]

You guys really liked it! I'm glad. I have to say (view spoiler)[I felt it predictable. I never really feared for anyone's life, and the only real surprise was Sir dying, because when she used her powers on the little kid she actually said it felt just like it felt with Sir, so it spoiled it for me when he came back. Also, I suspected Meira was the heir, It just made sense. I missed that end of the book revelation, so it felt kinda flat for me. Fortunately, I loved the world and the characters, and the story is strong, so I wanted to keep reading and I do want to find out whats next! (hide spoiler)]
