The Magicians question

As more time passes, the more I love The Magicians. I think I needed to get farther away to appreciate it's value and the themes in the book. When we started watching the TV show I was a bit worried as there are times when the show or movie does not do justice to the book, or outshines the book. I found that the TV series actually helped to fill in the cracks of the book's world. I feel it's a great companion piece (Which we discussed in our podcast). Do you feel that the book was helped or harmed by the TV series? Why or why not?
