Korina Bennett | 10 comments You wouldn't think it would involve so much brain power but choosing a name is tough. I have an unusual first name (Korina) compared with a pretty normal last (Bennett). I'm worried because my name is so different people wont be able to pronounce it. But at the same time maybe because it's different it will stand out. So I'm at a crossroads of names to chose from...

Korina Bennett
Rina Bennett
K.E. Bennett
Korina E. Bennett
Korina Elizabeth
Beth Bennett

or do I go a completely different direction. Shew! I know it shouldn't be this hard. Does anyone have any opinions on my 1000 names?

Jennifer | 18 comments Personally, I like the name you have chosen. I tend to forget names that are initialed.

Zach Tyo (ztyo) | 55 comments "Time will tell" is the best way to put it. I choose to publish under Z. Tyo so it keeps a little anonymity, but at the same time keeps my more unique last name in tact. As your first name is so unique id keep it, maybe Korina Beth if you're trying to keep from using your full name.

I'd shy away from initials though as Korina B. sounds like a Hip-Hop artist.

G.G. (ggatcheson) I like Korina Bennett and Beth Bennett.

While I've heard the name Korina before, it's still sounds different while still simple, so it's easy to remember. I don't get why you say people will have problems pronouncing it.

I also like Beth Bennett, although it sounds more fitting for a character name. :P

You think you have problems. I had no choice but to go with either a complete fake name of stick with initials or else my author name would have filled the whole cover. :P (AND I know for sure people mispronounce it because I've been living in the USA for 14 years now and I'm yet to hear it pronounced well ONCE.

No seriously, Korina is a beautiful name why hide it?

Korina Bennett | 10 comments Thanks everyone. You've been really helpful so far. I'm pretty partial to using my own name too. I don't know why it gets mispronounced, maybe because of the different spelling, but it happens. But I do agree that combination sounds the best.

and thanks Zach. If writing don't work out maybe I'll be come Korina B, mother of two by day, hip hop artist by night : )

Korina Bennett as Korina Bennett haha!

Korina - If you think you'd like to publish under your real name, it sounds great. I don't think people will have any trouble pronouncing it. Plus, there is nobody else published with that name (at least right now on Amazon).

Doreen | 9 comments I'd steer clear of initials, for a practical reason: I can never work out whether to include the full stops or not, and it might make a difference in a search engine. If people can't find you, they can't buy you.

Vivica Wilde (VivicaWilde) | 8 comments I don't think anyone will have difficulty pronouncing your name (it's lovely). But if you are looking for something a little different, I am quite keen on the K.E. Bennett that you've listed.
