Hello!Funny thing, I run/own the blog, 'Books for Christian Girls' { http://booksforchristiangirls.blogspo... } where I review all genres of Christian books, writing down all the Spiritual, Negative & Sexual content and do ratings for girls ages 9-19!
And I have review LI books before! None on my new(ish) rating system though. With my old reviews, one of them I comment: "One thing I’ve seen with reading ‘Love Inspired’ books, is that some are good for teens and some are not. This one I think is on the borderline. There’s always a happy ending with these books, so fear not, Moms, it all works out OK."
Depend on the child my niece at 16 still wasn't reading romance novels I was but they were teen ones (I was also a reader who read below my age) but I would give these as they are clean to a 14 year old. Again depends on child and parent.
Oh I agree Lindsey I was thinking there are some that would be better for 16 + like ones that deal with the result of pre marital sex, Yes Im conservative. But also some deal with the aftermath of child abuse or different issues a younger reader may not be mature enough to deal with. Also I wouldn't recommend the LIS to the younger readers.
Lindsey, how nice that you rate the books for teens. I know some of my books would probably not be the best for young teens. And like Jenny says, I think you have to judge each instance on its own. Every child is unique.
Very true on the LIS! I don't do blood at all, so I'm very cautious on those! ;) Yes, in my reviews I put down if a baby was born out of wedlock in the Sexual content. I enjoy doing my blog. :)
I'm 23, but I think I'm one of those weirdos in my generation who prefers Christian fiction to normal adult romance. Maybe it's because I was raised that way, but I came to it on my own and don't apologize for it either. It's more enjoyable:)

We had someone asking on our FB page, but I thought I'd also ask here. What age would you give one of our books to?
For me, since there is no sex, violence, or language, I'd say it's appropriate for any age, other than there are some themes that younger readers may not relate to. For example, I have a 10 and 13 year old and I'd have no problem letting either of them read the books, but my 13 year old thinks romance is "gross" and my 10 year old is still into princesses and some of the underlying themes aren't things she could relate to.
So what ages have you given our books to? And if you have a moment and would like to share with our fan on Facebook, pop on over!
