Emily | 17467 comments #889 This is the wrong thread for straight merges. Any merges here are because one of the combinations has resulted in noticing an identical duplicate or empty edition while combining.

#892 These aren't the same. I'm changing the title to reflect the three issues in one. The last one is an empty edition so I have merged it.
#893 Added Monica Pérez as primary author on these editions and combined. I cropped and rotated the cover image on the second link.
Now I realize the primary author should be Rey, so I am changing it back.

Blinkin'ijiot | 6 comments 3 of the 4 books by Robert Partridge https://www.goodreads.com/author/show... each have two editions, both of which are actually the same book. They all had only one edition. Looking at the author's official site, https://www.petergrainger.com , and comparing it to the books on Goodreads it looks like the ASIN has been entered once in the ISBN field and once in the ASIN field allowing the two "editions".

I attempted to correct "Afon" and made a hash of the comments and notes. I also can't combine/delete one of the two as the both have well more than 5 shelved copies. I need a super librarian to look at this and his other 3 books and try to correct them.

In addition Robert Partridge is a pseudonym for Peter Grainger, the author of the DC Smith Crime series. This information needs to be added as a comment or additional author(?) to the four books I think. And yes, Peter Grainger is the name of one of the characters in one of the books.

All of this is beyond my capabilities as a very occasional librarian.

Finally, I sent an email to Peter Grainger asking him if he wanted to join Goodreads as an author to maintain his own author page(s).

I deleted the librarian notes and comments, as they don't alert librarians unless they happen to be editing the record.
I am merging the duplicate editions. Next time if you see something that requires multiple edits, just make a new thread as this one is for straight combines, especially if you need help from superlibrarians (everyone works on this thread). Thanks!

#912 done, I think the cover of one is wrong because it says teacher's edition, but it could be an ACE of the student's edition

#923 I think you meant to merge (not combine) the one that was there with the low quality cover. Next time just ask for the one there to be updated. Creating a new edition and asking for a merge circumvents librarians verifying the source of the image, (even though surely that's not what you were doing). I realized this after merging.

2. combined (merge means delete on Goodreads; these are not identical)
3-5 done. I may add this to the project folder as the primary authors are different on many of these books within the same record
