On the Java Ridge (Indonesia)

message 5: by Val (new)

Val Best:
River by Esther Kinsky (author is German, but book is mostly set in London, UK)
The White Book by Han Kang (South Korea)

Flood by Stephen Baxter (the setting and the book are all over the place)
An Untamed State by Roxane Gay (Haiti and USA)

message 6: by Nadine (new)

Nadine (nadinekc) Best:
Freshwater (Nigeria, US, a room inside the main character's head).

John Woman (US) It's not so much the 'worst' as that it drove me absolutely crazy. I would have DNF'ed it but I read it for a group read, and it led to a marvelous discussion. My review.
