You said my first book Deception does not qualify because it does not have romance before i changed series i decided to check the next book Forbidden and it does has romance on the mpg so if it the same series and same same author why does one qualify and the other does not?

I can't really answer that. Every book for this challenge has to be tagged as Romance so therefore if you wanted to read Forbidden that would work.

So if I tagged the book as romance will that count and how do I go about doing this.

When you pull up the book here on GR if "Romance" is not listed on that particular page, it doesn't count. If you click on "top shelves" and romance comes up....it doesn't count. It has to be on the main page. Even if it's in the blurb, it doesn't count. It has to be listed on the right hand side. On the weird side, sometimes different people get different things listed on the main page or it will be there one day and not the next. If you see it on the main page, screenshot it as proof maybe?
Right now, for me, paranormal romance is only listed for Deception when I click the "see top shelves" link.

Bah! The book I was going to read for this isn't holding my attention. Thank goodness we have more time for this one. Starting something new, but my goal is still to get it done by Friday. I want to get at least two done this round.

I can't wait for the new theme. I've not picked up a romance since I read the last book so I'm looking forward to getting back to it.
Same Jamie, only I haven't picked up any books at all. It's so weird. Like I don't know what to read if someone doesn't give me some kind of guideline.
I thought I'd get another book done, but life got in the way and so I won't finish it by the next call...I'll have to pause in reading it when the next theme is made. That's the one thing that throws me - the book needs to recorded by midnight on Friday, but the next call isn't until Saturday evening...There's like 18 hours of limbo. I can't go that long without a book...
One thing I have to say I really like about this challenge, though, is knowing which book theme each week potentially will be. As someone who gets the books from the library, it's easier to plan ahead but still have the mystery of which theme will actually be called. With PtP, I tried to plan ahead and get some of the books checked out so I could start them ASAP, but they sat on my shelf for weeks and that theme was never called and then I ran out of renewals and had to return the book. In this challenge I could figure out what books might come for which week and only check them out as that week approached. There's still the mystery and excitement about the theme being announced, but I felt a little more organized and in somewhat control.One thing I like better, though, about PtP is there isn't a week deadline, that you can roll over your reading time. As a slow reader that gave me a little more wiggle room and less stress about getting books read. It also helped with the times I couldn't get the book ahead of time and had to wait half a week for the hold to arrive...I guess that's what I get for getting my books from a library...Although, like I said before, this challenge helped me be better prepared since a smaller focus of which theme might be called...
I am really enjoying this challenge as a sort of modified PtP. I know some of you have also done PtP...how do you think they compare?

Last round of PtP was my first time participating but I really liked that you didn't have a deadline to read.
But on the flip side, I also kinda liked the scrambling around to find something to read at the last minute that I had to do for PtP. LOL. I don't know why, it was more exciting.
Like you said, this feels like a modified version of PtP and I'm enjoying it a lot. Now that I finally get the thing with the roses, I have no complaints.

True, but I personally don't like color based themes. I'd much rather have a prompt or something.

I know that for like the PIFM challenge I like the ¨safety¨ of a color based theme. In terms of this challenge the prompt themes challenge your creativity a bit more.
