She pouts. "What kind of book?"

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

"It was about vampires," he shrugged.

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

"Why were you reading about them," she asks looking toward his mouth curiously. "Are you going to sprout some fangs?"

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

He chuckled, "I'm not a vampire. And I was doing research."

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

"What are you doing research on?"

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

"Mythical creatures," he shrugged.

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

"Why?" She says and curiously looks toward his bag.

Jake arched his brow, "why do you want to know?"

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

"Because your being obtuse about the subject and that only makes me more curious." She shrugged. "Besides you can always hold Mir if you feel I'm dangerous." She teased.

He chuckled, "your not dangerous."

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

"You know you could have at least pretended to be scared." She said in mock frustration.

He shrugged, "I don't tell lie," he said simply.

"Hmph." she replied and turned her attention back to her drink just as a whining noise came from inside Jake's pack. "I think Mir woke up," she laughed.

He chuckled and carefully took the animal out. Jake looked around before putting it on the table.

"Hi Mir. Did you have a nice nap?" she said stroking his fur. Instead of answering Mir rolled over. "You know Jake you never did tell me why you were researching mythical creatures."

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

Jake shrugged, "maybe I am for fun?" He offered.

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

"Then why is it so fun?" she retorted. Mir deciding he wanted some other attention jumped onto Jake's lap.

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

Jake chuckled, "hi bud," he stroked Amir's fur, "maybe I just have an into rest in that stuff?"

"You're impossible," she grumbled. "Then did you find anything on healing?"

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

He arched his brow at her curiously, "why do you ask?"

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

"No reason," she said trying to look nonchalant.

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

Jake nodded slowly, "ok...?"

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

"I mean many people should be able to heal others. The ability isn't impossible just weird right?" Realizing her outburst was unfounded she looked uncomfortably at her hands.

He nodded slowly, "people can heal others with medicine and time, yes," he looked her face over, "why?"

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

A slow blush crossed her face. "Hypothetically speaking, what if they didn't need to use medicine?"

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

He shrugged, "then your not human, for one, and two; that would mean it's your gift."

[Katriana, Altering Reality]

"But it doesn't seem like a gift. People just want to use them."

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

Jake watched her, figuring it was her gift. He dipped his beer, "not everyone."

"But it's safe to assume most do?"

[Elizabeth, Vampire Princess]

"If you want to keep yourself safe from the world, then yes," he nodded.

Bringing her feet onto the bench, she wrapped her arms around her legs. "What if someone bad already knows?"

He looked at her funny, "like?"

"I don't know what if they want to keep you as a pet or a toy?" She said trembling a little.

He shook his head, "you make people out to be worse then they really are."

"Well it's not exactly a person..." She shuddered.

"Oh? Then what is it?" He asked curiously.

"Hypothetically speaking is it possible to heal a Rogue?"

He stared at her for a moment then nodded, "yes... Why?"

"Oh so the funny obsession might disappear if they're healed? Or would they degenerate back again?"

Jake arched his brow, "I'm not sure."

She stared at him for a minute. "Okay then." Then smiling at him she pointed to Mir. "I think he like your drink."

Jake looked at Mir confused.

The animal in question had taken to licking at the rim of his drink trying to lap up some of its contents.

He chuckled, "hey you," He carefully picked Mir up off his drink, "that's not good for you."

Mir just whined and decided it would be better to settle in his lap. She grinned, "It's almost unfair how much he likes you."

Jake chuckled and wiped the rim of his beer before sipping it, "is it now?"

She smirked. "Yes, wouldn't you feel that way too?"

He shrugged, "maybe he just likes guys more."

She laughed, got up and sat by Jake. "Well than I'll stay next to you. Since it seems like Mir will permanently attach himself to you."
