Need help claiming my book and starting author page please

Hi, I have sent the "application" to be acknowledged as the author of my book several days ago and I haven't heard anything back. I would like to be able to edit the description of the book because it is being featured on the Read and Review board this week and the description needs some minor changes to fit the Amazon and other descriptions. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to write in the "application" message as there were no guidelines. Perhaps I didn't do it right. Can anyone advise me? Does this usually take a long time. Could there be a problem?

Most of the authors on here have their picture on their author page. I can send a librarian the photo, but I though we were supposed to do this ourselves. Also I want a couple of minor changes to the description. It would then read:

Aranka is a moderately normal teenager until those who hold true power in today's world decide she's a threat.

The accepted image of the modern world is an illusion. A clandestine force usurps the desires and emotions of individuals, and those who won't conform must be crushed to preserve the appearance of free will. Aranka and a few others stand in the way, not because they are rebels, just because of the fluke in their genes. Those with power will stop at nothing to protect their supremacy. Aranka is kidnapped and forced to watch as her fellow prisoners are killed one by one.

A small band of outlaws from every corner of the globe fight to free the captives and preserve their own freedom. Kenyen, a young doctor, ventures into the heart of oppression but he can't stop the terror. He just wants to save one life. In the process he uncovers "the Seed," the first flicker of hope in a thousand years.

For the "About this author" bit you can insert this: Arie Farnam is a fantasy and speculative fiction writer, a homeschooling mama, a war correspondent turned peace organizer, a gardening and wildcrafting herbalist, a legally blind bike rider, a tree-loving eclectic Pagan and an idealist with a practical streak. She grew up outside La Grande, Oregon and now lives in a small town near Prague in the Czech Republic.

The site says that once I "claim" my book my author profile and personal GR profile will merge. Can you make that happen so that I post as the author?

To claim your author profile, click on the "Let us know" link at the end of the page. It can take a few days for your request to be accepted by staff.

Once it's done, your profiles will be merged and you will post as the author. You will also be able to change your profile info and as well as do some editing for your books.

I sent the "let us know" message four days ago I think. Was there something specific I was supposed to say in the message to make it an "application"?

Maybe it just takes awhile. It will probably kick in eventually.

Please keep in mind that approvals can take 2-3 days, not including weekends.
