I am a member of that group. I followed it for a while, but I found all the posts about how they were making thousands every month quite disheartening rather than uplifting. I neither have the time nor the money to sink into the kind of promotion required to achieve their goals. It may also be the group with a shed-load of rules to follow before you can post anything, so I unfollowed the group. I'm too prone to making forum mistakes.(Although I've just read of someone on there giving up writing fiction because it became a chore and she wasn't making the money she felt she should for her efforts. So it's not all a bed of roses in that group.)

However, it can't hurt to investigate and try new ideas.
Advertisement and promotion is based on exaggeration. For example I've watched many webinars and only on occasion have found anything that is even remotely effective or useful. The sponsor will spend an inordinate about of time telling you how they made his millions and how they have helped famous people and others also make millions. Then comes the graphs and teaser jargon. Finally you get the pitch for your chance to save on their $997 product on a greatly reduced price...if you act now.
Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. I try everything anyone suggests. I agree with William, lots of those webinars I have watched are a pitch for a product and not really useful author information or advice.
