I'd definitely still be reading it if it wasn't for the audio - especially when it came to those long history lessons of waterloo and paris sewers.

I bought myself a beautiful Penguin clothbound edition of War & Peace, as I did with Les Mis, which I expect will just sit on my shelf and look pretty as I opt for the audio xD

I actually wasn't a fan of the movie, but that likely had a lot to do with me growing up listening to the 10th Anniversary London cast recording of the soundtrack where the voices are unparalleled. I have seen a stage production which was great, but the music from that one soundtrack again couldn't compare.

I have! That clip at least, thought they were great. I imagine they were even better live.

they really were. I hadn't heard of them until then (I don't watch the talent shows), but after their set I went and bought their CD straight away, lol.
