Throughout the book, I keep wondering if the author wrote the maids' stories based on the maids' real life, because the author's acknowledgment pages and the author intro tells us a similar background to Skeeter, so now for the question.
Do you think all these stories about the maid is true? How do you think her family reacted and treat/-ed her based on her thought in the novel as they were from the time of this kind of activity like segregation and critical racism? And do you think that there were people as extreme as Hilly or even worse in real life back then? How do you think the maids are towards Stockett and how they felt about the book if they were real people and if they read the book?
