Shae | 372 comments Finished - thoroughly enjoyed it, 4/5 stars :-)

I've downloaded the 2nd and 3rd books in this trilogy, so hoping to continue onwards too.

James (aeos) I'm looking forward to the next books, this time I'll hold off on reading until the group start date.

Great! Thank you for letting me know.

I've started reading today, looking forward to reading all your amazing spoilers.

Elena Granger | 84 comments I'm back to my normal schedule, so finally I've finished this book. Overall I've enjoyed reading it, the first book seems to be a prequel to the main story. So I'm also in for the rest of the trilogy.

great :)
How did you like the characters? which one is your fav?

On May 5th the we are starting the second in the trilogy ... please join in :)

It's one of those rare occasions when I like all the characters. They all are so different, strong and somewhat unique and I can't tell whom I like the most.
I really enjoyed Glokta's lines (one of the most unique parts in this book, usually you never like characters like him) and Logen's too, particularly the fact that he was kinda indifferent and quite calm to all the things going on, a cool headed one, what is again not so common in stories like this.

And I'll try to join you on May 5th, but maybe later, because I still have a lot of books to finish reading as soon as possible :)

Yes... totally agreed.. all strong characters and also captivating conversations. More than the plot the characters hold good in this book.

Very excited for the next book :)

Jennifer | 6 comments I just finished this and I really enjoyed it. It was unputdownable.
