Nyssa's 2019 Reading Challenge

I think you have a great goal, education is always a good thing to focus on :)
And I like that you set your casual reading goal to a reachable level to not stress yourself !

It's much more difficult than I would have imagined!
I swear, if I knew then what I know now, I would have gotten my shit together the first time I went to college, instead of being an indecisive twit! Granted, I was working full-time then too.
I feel like I've lived my life "bass-ackwards"!

me, too!"
:D The more, the merrier.

Poll"
There's a consensus so far... LOL

I realized this morning, that I had forgotten to add two other “started but not finished” series to the list.
I was tempted to edit the poll, but didn’t want to mess it up.

Of course, I've recently entered my 95,893th reading of Murderbot, so...

I loved Clean Sweep! Not sure why I haven’t gotten around to the other two books as yet.
If Innkeeper wins, I’ll have to find a second short series for when I’m done.
Codex Alera only has 6 books, but they’re 700 pages each, so I’d need the whole year to complete them on time.

Nope. They created a 4-way tie instead. LOL

Participation is optional. The only concern are random requests from other members to please vote on their polls ( but they don’t hunt you down if you choose not to).

I can't even vote and I can't stop watching."
There was a bit of jockeying, but now there is yet another tie!

Yay! Thank you.

My new mantra."
Awww!

Yay! Thank you!
I got all excited because I saw there was another vote.... it was for a non-tied book. LOL
I'm still hoping someone will come along and break the tie, but I'm happy no one will mind participating in a run-off vote. :)

I agree! And, I think I have the entire series, so I'll be ready to go.

I may cheat a little, and reread the first book over Christmas break, then one book a month after that. But I have not decided yet because I also want to continue the Lumberjane comics that I started.
*Shrug* i’ll just have to see how things go.

The last few weeks of the year are like the period right before a game server wipe. You just want to get it over with so you can get started again. :D

Lol, I couldn't agree more.

Best Challenge name ever!"
LOL! Thank you. :)
I'm planning on updating my thread at the end of the month.

I'm experimenting with making one post at the end of the month versus updating after every book. I think this might be easier when reading a series back to back but might take longer with nonrelated reads.

I have no real goals or expectations for leisure reading this year. My focus will be on completing my Bachelors of Middle-Grade Mathematics Education.
So, reading 12 non-school or work-related stories will be a bonus.
Oh, and now there's this: 2019 SFE & ITAO Challenge
I will continue to use my general book post format as follows:

**********The (I Didn't See This Coming) RESULTS**********
Nyssa marries Lois Lane!
Nyssa and her wife Lois Lane, along with their Five Children and pet Tiger are moving to Louisiana!
Being a Wedding Planner to the rich and famous just wasn't fun anymore, so Nyssa has moved her family into the boonies and is now planning weddings for the Swamp people. Good thing she invested in that flying coffin, its a bit hard to get into that rural swampland. Thanks to Lois's reporting skills Nyssa is sure to be the Redneck Wedding planner of the year!
