Victor (foeone) | 9 comments The story was set in the NE around Boston. The main character is casting and meeting a lot of interesting people for the reopening of this old, I want to say historic theater.

Victor (foeone) | 9 comments I meant to say he's a recent college graduate. And I can't recall if the local mafia he got mixed up with was really mafia or just some politician who could pull some strings. The book must have been published in 2012 or 2013.

Was it mass market fiction or literary fiction? Standalone or series? Author female or male? Bestseller or very obscure?

Victor (foeone) | 9 comments Obscure, literary standalone. Can't remember anything about the author. Part of the problem.

Possibly: Little Did I Know ?

"Set in Plymouth, MA in the late seventies, Little Did I Know is the tale of a young man with an outsized dream -- to refurbish a dilapidated but historic theater and produce a season's worth of vibrant musicals. A recent college graduate, he fills his cast and crew with people he has come to love and trust in his university life, and with others whose talents and personalities prove undeniable."
