Meh. I didn't like the narrator- she was downright miserable- and this Stranger Things "like" read missed the mark. It was unbalanced and I found it predictable. Sorta recommend? Someone might have a different experience.
I can see the Stranger Things comparisons by the way, but the characters in WTSFOS had less heart.

I gotcha. Some YA or J (or even adult!) stuff is just too easy to see coming when you've read so much. It's good to know that I could use it as a (maybe) rec for Stranger Things fans though.

I definitely think you could add it to a Stranger Things rec list! I think I just set it up to high for myself. It had an interesting premise though.
