YA dystopian novel. I think it might be part of a trilogy and could be a female Canadian author. I read it around 2010 and I think it was a new release bc I had a hard time getting the other books. Trying really hard to remember details. It’s about a girl sans possibility her brother. Their family is part of an off shoot government that isn’t allowed to be. Possibly their parents die and they have to leave their country. They travel through tunnels into new lands. That’s all I can remember I know it isn’t much to go on. TIA!
