Cinder
question
Should i read the next book?
YES! Reading Scarlet is a must. I felt the same way about Cinder. It was really predictable. Cinder also got a bit repetitive at times. YES CINDER, we get it. You don't think Kai will like you because you are a cyborg... But I still liked the story a good deal, so I kept reading. Scarlet is a better read. In fact she became my favorite character in the series.

Yes! Scarlet is a bit slow and hard to get into to but it gets better.
I never read cinder got it from the library several times never bothered to read it then i read scarlet i loved that on e so i finally read the first one i didnt like it
Yes! They are all amazing, especially the first two. And there will be two more published next year
Can't speak for everyone, but my wife and I enjoyed both the sequels and are eagerly waiting for Winter.
Finish this series Cress is the best in the series, but before I read Cress, and I'd only read Cinder and Scarlet, Scarlet was my favorite!!! Read It!!!
Cress is definitely the best one so far, then Scarlet, then Cinder. I agree with everyone else. Finish the series!
I liked book one. Book 2 is better. I'm stalling on reading cress because I've got other stuff in my Que but I WILL READ IT.
Original, and very well written. Good stuff.

I for one haven't read Cress yet, but after reading Scarlet I have been eagerly wanting to purchase the book. I think I found Scarlet to be just as good as Cinder; so, it's really up to you. However, Scarlet was less predictable in my opinion than Cinder.
YES!!!!!!! you should im on book #3 cress. Keep reading!!!!!!!!!!
my friends will hate me for saying this, but I have HATED all the other books in the series. I ADORED/LOVED/CHERISHED Cinder because it was such a cute retelling totally inspired by Ella Enchanted (read the author's interviews if you don't believe me) and the only reason I read the sequels was to find out what happens to Cinder and Prince Kai. I understand why the author wove in different fairytales but for me I would just prefer all the books to be told in Cinder's POV only. She was the only character I actually enjoyed (besides Kai, of course). I will read the final book in 2015, but that is only to give my romance-needy heart the peace of mind Cinder & Kai deserve.
I really liked this series but once I made it halfway through Scarlet and finished Cress, it became my all time FAVORITE. I just love this series so much. Each book gets better with Cress being the best by far.
I'm with you in that I thought 'Cinder' was very boring and obvious and predictable. I wasn't going to continue with the series, but I kind of wanted to see how Meyer would work in the new fairy tale lines.
I was really pleasantly surprised by 'Scarlet.' It had some fun twists, and I liked Wolf.
It also helped that some of the things that bugged me in 'Cinder' weren't really part of 'Scarlet.' (Cyborg prejudice-- why? Prince Kai, you seem like the guy my mom wants me to date, etc.)
So, as someone who was disappointed in the first book, I would still say, if you're on the fence-- you'd probably like 'Scarlet' better.

But here's the thing: people aren't born cyborgs. Being a cyborg is, for the most part, not a thing you "can't help" being. It's not like skin color o

(sorry for replying so long after you commented, I just read the book recently) the other issue I took with the cyborg prejudice is how poorly handed

In my opinion Scarlet is, just about as good as Cinder, there is a lot more action going on, but Cinder was a bit frustrating in that book. But, I still really wanted to read Cress, and when I did, it was just so good! Cress is easily my favourite in the series, and I loved, I think I gave it 5 out of 5. I cannot wait to read Winter! So yes, I think you should definitely give the rest of the series a shot :)
Yes!! Definitely continue. The series just gets better and better. Can't wait for Winter
The series just gets better and better. Scarlet was amazing and Cress was just... Just wow... Wonderful!
I've read Scarlet (and Cinder) but not Cress. While Scarlet is somewhat less predictable than Cinder, the real draw for me is how disparate storylines are brought together. In Cinder, there's one main story; in Scarlet, there are two and Meyers does a beautiful job weaving them together.

In my personal opinion, Scarlet is NOTHING compared to Cress, the story line is sooooo much better, and just . . . . better. :)
It does tend to get a little confusing though because there are something like 12(?) POV's.
I just generally enjoyed Cress much better, sorry I am being very vague!

Yes, I've read 2 of the books so far. I just need to read the last one. I really enjoyed the stories. I love all the characters as well.
