Manybooks Hi all! As I usually try to reread Christmas with Anne and Other Holiday Stories every December, I was wondering if anyone might be interested in a readalong discussion.

Manybooks And I would also be open to including other Christmas classics for Middle grade readers, such as for example

The Light at Tern Rock

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

The Flying Classroom

I love Christmas with Anne! My copy is in storage but I can get another one and read along!

The more the merrier I say! And this time around, I am going to do a true reread from cover to cover (as often I just seem to cherry pick my favourites).

By the way, I downloaded a kindle version of L.M. Montgomery's "Christmas Stories" a couple of years ago, as I assumed that it would be exactly the same as the Christmas With Anne collection. And while there is indeed quite a bit of overlap, it is in no way the same and actually some of the chosen tales kind of freak me out (for example, the Gothic like thriller The Red Room is included although it is a story of a murder of passion that occurs during the Christmas season, and I for one find it a bit strange to call this a true Christmas story).

Manybooks Am just on Aunt Cyrilla's Christmas Basket, one of my favourite stories in the collection, and a tale that even though very sweet and probably more than a bit predictable, always makes me smile and always makes me wish that Aunt Cyrilla were my aunt (and I was on that train with her and her wonderful basket of goodies).
