SOLVED. h is an actor who with her model cousin sign on to dance (background) in a fav bands music clip. H is in the band and they walk in to the location to hear the two woman absolutely killing a cover of one of their songs. [s]

Read in the last couple of years, think it was fairly recent then.
May be a series, almost def first book of so (vaguely possible there was some cross over from a previous series - maybe one of the new band was a support character in other series...?)

Spoilers included
- h wants to be a musician, but controlling mum pushed/forced her into acting
- h's cousin (maybe h in next book?) is a model... but only to 'kill time until the h decides to stand up to her mum and follow both of their passions into music'
- there's a scene (or three) about how hot they are because they have a killer workout routine... but I think they learned most of it from a personal trainer, who they kicked to the curb the minute he started saying they need to ditch the pizza/beer or something (cause they are very much down to earth supa hot chicks ;)
- the h is a musical master type who can play/do anything with music (and has to decide what she wants to be in the band before they can hire others to fill spots)
- they work for/thru an agent who they keep stealing employees from. The super hair & makeup team, the great receptionist etc (the guy loves them, so just gripes and let's them)
- the H and band were pissed when they walked in and heard people using their equipment, until they really heard it and then were blown away because of how good they were
- I think there's 'slut bashing' in the book. Like the guys screw ANYTHING that will stand still long enough and that a chuckle and eyeroll... but the whore and sluts are disgraceful.
- there's trust issues with h/H. I think he may have insisted she lose every males phone number, but then he didn't and got txt from his 'local lays'.
- H has a code lock on his bedroom door so partners can't come in and always uses spare rooms for his hookups... until h
- THINK as there were only two chickies, they needed to audition for more band members... Through all their contacts, they managed to get some high profile/skilled musios. Possibly they brought in their old high school band mate from a 'standard' day job, but the rest had all families up or other. And think they knew one woman from other high school band maybe?
- there was heaps of flack about them having no skill before they released, so there was a press conference and possibly a YouTube type thing to say screw you
- not sure why, but security was compromised at their preferred out of the city house and they ended up moving in with the guys who had a mammoth all in pad on secured community
- think the h's band was hired on as the support band to the guys, but maybe they got their own tour.
