I enjoyed this book - and not just for the biology! It weaves in the history of exploration and discovery and blunders of humanity's early scientists, as well as (now) amusing beliefs and fallacies of times gone by. Lucy Cooke is an amusing writer, with a range of vocabulary that doesn't feel like it's trying too hard, only trying to entertain you as you absorb this information.
