Book with character with superpowers (like Vicious, VE Schwab)

Hello.
I just finished reading Vicious by VE Schwab and I loved it! Now, I‘m desperately looking for a similar book, i.e. a book with a male character with supernatural abilities. I like anti-hero/dark characters and I prefer books for audults (not YA with teenage boys/girls as main characters). The story should also take place in the present or future, so like the X-Men universe. It may have some romance in it.
Any recommendation is very much appreciated!

Steelheart, Firefight, and Calamity by Brandon Sanderson. These are the books in the Reckoners trilogy. Awesome!
Have you read the Shades of Magic series also by the same author?
I haven't actually read it yet, but "Black Leopard, Red Wolf" by Marlon James sounds pretty promising!
