Can you tell us more about the father and his second wife - their jobs, skills/interests, how they met, etc.? What happened to the first wife? Is your description of the past about the first wife?

I remember that they were rich, they hàd a company. heroine met h while she was working for him i think she was a nanny after his first wife died. First wife was a gold digger and after they married she stoped caring about h and the children. Dont know where they lived but the country is america. Main time period is 21 century but the story jumps in the past to explain their relationship.

I am looking for the book about the father. The father is married to the heroine. she is his second wife and the step mother. The books goes into the past and is angsty. They got married after she got pregnant heroine met h while she was working for him i think she was a nanny after his first wife died. First wife was a gold digger and after they married she stopped caring about h and the children.
their marriage is falling apart she asks him to divorcee and he has a heart attack so she stays with him to take care of him. he wasn't a great husband and he uses his heart attack to get his wife back. I think the father is fighting with one of the sons because the son convinced the mother to ask for the divorce the sons name might be luke. the book might be published between 2010 and 2015
