Jennifer (jhaltenburger) | 648 comments Finished my first yesterday and will be finishing my second in about an hour. I like this series -- good main character, interesting story premise, and of course an excellent cat! I adore Aunt Tillie. She makes the whole series for me.

Barbara Sousa | 504 comments I finished both of my books for the month (on audio!!):
Murder in Christmas River (Christmas River #1) by Meg Muldoon Mayhem in Christmas River (Christmas River #2) by Meg Muldoon

I'm glad I had a chance to finally start this series!

Marina (marina12474) I could not get through my books. I absolutely did not like the first one, Rest Ye Murdered Gentlemen (A Year-Round Christmas Mystery #1) by Vicki Delany and only got through half of it so I didn't even bother with the second one. I really had high hopes for this series but nothing about the story or the characters grabbed me. Maybe in the future, I will try them again but for now, I had to DNF them.

Oh, Marina, I am so sorry! The descriptions seemed perfect for this time of year, and I hoped the books would live up to the hype, Come to think of it, I have read one book by the author (in a different series) and am sort of ambivalent about it, mainly due to the improbable theme. Again sorry you didn’t enjoy the books, and thanks for the warning! Hope you will like the next round of books better. Happy holidays!

Thanks, Barbara. I was definitely disappointed but I have been reading some other really good cozies. Have a very happy holiday as well!

I, on the other hand, really enjoyed this mystery. I read it at Christmastime a few years ago, though I did wonder how viable this theme is for a series. I don't know that I'd want to read about a town where it is always Christmas at some other time of the year.

Marina (marina12474) Nell, I totally agree with what you said. I just couldn't get into this book. I kept trying.
