He didn't say anything, just turned back around, staring at the distant horizon, looking far older than he was.
He looked at her. Obviously not. "September is dead," he said bitterly, the words like acid on his tongue.
He thought about jumping. He seriously did. September was dead. Cia didn't care. Brooklyn was better off without him. What was there to live for?
"Well September--September's not here now, is she?" he shot back, voice cracking and betraying his all-consuming grief.
His hope crashed to the ground. And burned away forever. He turned away, unable to hold her gaze.

((If she didn't then she wouldn't have tried to stop him!))

((Who, Cia? Yeah that's true but right now he's not even thinking about that. He's thinking about her calling him a monster and saying she doesn't know him anymore))
Slowly, Miles drew all his knives--he had four on him in total--and hurled them, one by one, as far as he could toward the ocean. He couldn't hear the splash over the roar of the waves.
Miles turned, still sitting with his legs dangling over the edge of the cliff, at the sound of someone approaaching.
Miles flinched as the owl landed on him, its claws digging into his shoulder. He waved his arms, trying to get it off him. You have got to be kidding me.
((He's sitting :P with his legs dangling over the edge))
"None of your business," he growled. Then looked at Cia. "You should back away from the edge," he said darkly. "It's dangerous."

He shrugged and turned away, uncaring. He didn't care about much of anything anymore. Except maybe his sister.
He looked at her then. Was she seriously trying to flirt with him at a time like this? He scooted away.
He turned back towards the edge of the cliff, putting his head in his hands. What am I becoming?
