Sam | 69 comments Thanks Emily. I'll have another hunt for it - I like a print out to carry around (yes I know dreadfully boring, but internet isn't reliable where I live).
Looks to be some interesting entries, though I think I'm going to have trouble with the advanced section next year.

message 6: by Audrey (new)

Audrey (ttrivium) | 47 comments What is Cli-fi anyway? Interesting selection next year.

message 7: by Emily (new)

Emily Bourque (emilyardoin) It's like science fiction, but focused on climate change -- think apocalyptic novels that stem from climate change.

message 8: by Audrey (new)

Audrey (ttrivium) | 47 comments Hmm... thanks! Like The Age of Miracles. Or kind of the Bone Clocks.

message 9: by Sam (new)

Sam | 69 comments Thanks, saves me looking that up. If anyone hasn't read it yet, 'The wind up girl' is a good read that would fit in the Cli-Fic category.

message 10: by Brianna Graham (new)

Brianna Graham | 2 comments The Maze Runner is another Cli-Fi series.

message 11: by Wendy (new)

Wendy Moore | 2 comments Question, what is A LitRPG book?

message 12: by Sara (new)

Sara Goldsmith | 2 comments LitPRG are books like Warcross, Tron, and Ready Player One. Books that the hero’s adventure is in side a computer game.

Oh I thought they would have been novels based off Role Playing Games, like the many based around Dungeons & Dragons.

message 14: by Valerie (new)

Valerie Galler | 1 comments I read that it can be either, taking place in a game or based on a game.

message 15: by Fiona (new)

Fiona Baldwin | 8 comments Looks like an interesting challenge

Kelly Cote | 1 comments So for the "Your favorite prompt from a past POPSUGAR Reading Challenge"... where can we find those lists? This will be my first reading challenge. TIA!

Hi Kelly, if you haven't found the spreadsheet this group makes available yet, there are several years of previous challenges in tabs there. Otherwise I think the original PopSugar post with the 2019 list has links.

Everyone, 2019 has been added to the spreadsheet. Feel free to add yourself and add any edits you would like to your column, but if you want to change anything you didn't add yourself, you've got to make a copy and edit your own copy.

Molly Springer (springho) | 3 comments Random Question, I just added myself to the spreadsheet and put the title of a book I've finished into the column it corresponded to. Am I supposed to color it or change anything else? Or is just filling in the blanks as I complete books all I am supposed to do? This is my second year doing this challenge but last year I kind of forgot about it.

You can choose a color for yourself so you can find you in the columns--- the spreadsheet is so you can fill in the books (and I use it to get ideas from other members when I am stuck) and see what others are reading.
Good luck!

Jenn Post (dinojenn23) | 5 comments Just started the challenge ,and just to make sure I am doing everything correct do I add myself to a spreadsheet ?

message 21: by Meg (new)

Meg (meginfrance) | 24 comments Yes, you go to the first empty column and add your name.

It sounds like PopSugar released the list last week: https://www.popsugar.com/entertainmen...

I'll edit the spreadsheet this week

It looks like via the spreadsheet that a lot of people are using books Rory read in Gilmore girls. Here's a list of books references, but some of them were only talked about or part of jokes, not actually read: http://goingdownswinging.org.au/rory-...

If you want something shorter, I know Y: The Last Man, Vol. 1: Unmanned showed up in a first season episode of Lost.

If you want something very intellectual, pretentious, What We Owe to Each Other has been featured in The Good Place multiple times.

message 27: by Meg (new)

Meg (meginfrance) | 24 comments For another idea--- I googled Orange is the New Black books--- and found lists from each season.
Below is JUST season 6:

I ended up reading 'A moveable feast' by Hemmingway, seen in City Of Angels. I wouldn't recommend it though. I only went with it because I was stuck.

Molly Springer (springho) | 3 comments have we gotten a 2020 list yet? Im anxious!
