Also, the Something In the Way series by Jessica Hawkins. That four book series was a rollercoaster of emotions for a year.

Me Before You by Jo Jo Moyes ... it devastated me.
Me Before You

Buy Me, Sir

I really enjoyed that book a lot. Unfortunately, Kim Holden hasn't written any more books related to other characters in this book yet.

I literally just finished it! It was amazing!! This series is gonna be so good!!

I cried big, fat, silent tears... My son is in the Army and this book really hit home about the realities of what can happen...

It's easier if I just quote from by review...
"This book was beautiful. It's somehow allowed a male character to be sweet and vulnerable and not a wimp at the same time. I think that's kind of rare... Lots of times we read books to escape into fantasy. What I really liked about this book was that the situation could be someone's reality. People deal with the consequences of real diseases every day, and their decisions on how to handle those things are all different. Life is not black and white, they are all different shades of grey in between. The trick is finding which one is your shade of happiness. There were lots of things about this book, that had really nothing to do with the main storyline, that touched me on a very personal level..."

"After the rain". Renee Carlino
"Nowhere but here", Renee Carlino
"Someone else's ocean", Kate Stewart

This book also gets my vote. I couldn't put it down and was thinking about the characters long after I finished the book.

Great choices!

I agree. This is a read that stays with you but I could never reread it. I find it hard to read again an emotional book like that. I'm still kind of mad why she had to go that way with the story line.
