bryan | 1 comments Hey guys. I’ve recently started listening to audio books. I like to think that listening to and reading a book stimulates the brain the same. What’s your opinion? Also, do you guys count a book that you’ve listened to as a book that you’ve read?

Kat | 1 comments I do both. I actually think its different places in my head. Frequently I'll listen to one I read or vise versa
And I do count them as books i read. Usually I just say did. I did this book. 😁

Jeanie | 4024 comments I think of it as a simple evolution of the definition of the word "read". There is the traditional meaning that means consuming printed information visually, but it also includes tactile reading--braille--and auditory reading via recorded audiobook or text to speech.

We have embraced new definitions of what a "book" is: print, ebook, internet file, audiobooks on cassette, CD, or downloadable file... and we "read" them all.
