Ann Shannon | 24 comments I don't see where else to ask this question I am a 1st time author and NOT technically skilled. Somehow, I entered the information on my memoir. My book is now live on Amazon. I want to upload its cover image, and change wording in the book detail/description. When I attempt to do that I get a message that I only have permission to change the metadata...but I can't even figure out how to do that or how to change whatever permissions I gave! Also, I would like to know how to make copies available, as in give some away, to Goodreads readers. Can anyone give me instructions or explain where to go for help? I don't know where else to ask. Thank you!

Thank you, India...I am already showing as an author (I think -though I don't know how I did that when I signed up in Sept) and don't see how to go about making changes to add my memoir. when I go into my profile.

Ann Shannon | 24 comments thank you again, India...but how do I even sign into the desktop site? I have spent hours trying to figure this out, and was in tears of frustration, never figuring it out. I find this an incredibly difficult site to figure out...nothing is obvious. I could never get rid of the book I had entered before it was published, to upload the published one available on Amazon. I think I may have that now, but I always have to search for ASIN # to keep the old version from coming up, and getting a message that no other books by that title were available.

Ann Shannon | 24 comments I also have several books that I edited decades ago, that I am now reviewing. I hope that goes more smoothly, though I don't have nearly as much riding on them.

Ann Shannon | 24 comments M.C. how did you submit your author page application...I still can't figure out how to change mine from a reader account to an author account!

M.C. | 6 comments There is a place on your page to click on that brings up an author application. You click on that and fill out the application. I had two pages that needed to be combined. You can contact GR by email and ask them for help - they combined my pages under my correct author name. They have been a huge help.

Ann Shannon | 24 comments thank you, MC. I will see if I can locate it...I do find Goodreads difficult to navigate, but I am very technically challenged.
