Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer and if you like horror scifi this book is for you! 2 stars for me because the writing is too good to make it only 1

Yes, I lowered my rating a few weeks after finishing this, because it just brings back so many negative memories when I think about this book, although the writing is fairly strong and keeps one going. This is sort of a scifi horror novel, and if you like scifi horror, by all means read this one. It is a trilogy, even, and you may well enjoy all three. I even took the next two out of the library because my eldest daughter read all three of these. She didn't love them, but liked them better than I did, obviously.

Lots of weird things, no one has a name but is listed by their job on the expedition, and some twists you may not expect.
