With Smashwords you have a coupon manager function so you can create countless coupons, e.g. for your different promotions. For example I created one for my Halloween sale on Instagram
If you look at my instagram profile you will see an interview stack. With most you can complete a form to participate in author interviews. I recommend reaching out to every offer of a free author interview - post the interview links via your social media profiles (have profiles on all) and your own website.
When I first started out I was asked by a horror magazine reviewer to send a paperback copy of my book. As an indie-author that meant for me buying a copy and posting it - I decided to do it and for months I heard nothing, then out of the blue I was sent the link to the review in the magazine. Now that Amazon took over createspace you can quickly set-up for the print-on-demand format of your book - I found the best benefit is that if I need a copy of my book I can order it via my amazon account and I get it delivered within 2-3 days.
Always look for free advertising (be open for all opportunities). There are offers out there as well that are around the GBP/USD 10 mark - these you can consider and later maybe increase your own budget.

Thank you Dominik. That's a lot of really helpful information. I'll be sure to try both of those sites.
I'm fairly new to this whole promotional thing. I've only had my book: Boundless in Torment out for a month on Kindle. I have sold a few copies, but it has been through advertising on various forums on Good Reads. This is great, but I really want to branch out further. The trouble is that every worthwhile book promotion site wants you to pay for one of their packages. I cannot afford to pay for any advertising so what I'm really looking for is sites that will let you advertise for free and redirect people to buy my book on Amazon. My book is a Supernatural Mystery Thriller, so if anyone knows of any useful sites, please let me know.
