Change author name?

Would it be possible to change my author name on my profile from J.B. Trepagnier to JB Trepagnier? That's how it appears on Amazon and books are getting ported over from Amazon that is creating a separate profile under JB Trepagnier that I keep having to get merged with the J.B profile where all my books are
