Tony (lewisdacontra) | 2 comments I read this book, around 15 years ago, and i believe it to be older than that. It was a used book when I bought it. I think its from the mid 80's to mid 90's. POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD. The team is hired to find (I think) 2 missing children being held in an unknown mountain range. They eventually find the location and during the assault the grizzled old top Sgt pulls various weapons from a golf bag to use on different enemies. I recall there being mention of using a gyrocopter in the assault. The book was a dark blue paperback, it had a picture of (I assume) the team leader holding an m16/m203 combo. He was wearing aviator type sunglasses. The team leader is ex army special forces who spent time as an LAPD swat guy after the vietnam war. He had a disagreement with his immediate supervisor when said supervisor wanted to change from swat to something with that would've given it the initials SS. The mercenary team leader makes a joke about having to call his supervisor by his german rank title. I believe there were 4 or 5 team members plus the top sgt. I believe it was a male author.

Tony, which countries are the mercenary team members from? Are they all ex-military?

Who kidnapped the children? What are the kidnappers' demands?

Can you tell us more about the kids - their ages, gender, who are their parents & where do they live, etc.?

Tony (lewisdacontra) | 2 comments Mercs are all us and I believe ex military. The children are from a rich American family, and I believe the kidnappers were cartel? Maybe other drug related group.
