Buddy Read Requests

I LOVE buddy reads. I try to buddy read with a Kindle book so that I can highlight relevant passages and share with my buddy and the GoodReads world in that way.

So if anyone wants to read Independent People with me, I am ready. Country is Iceland.

Please look through my reading-the-world shelf. ANY book that I have not already read is a candidate for buddy read.

Celia -- want to buddy read [book:Blindness with me? If so, how do you want to do this. I agree we can both get kindle versions. Do we choose which chapters to read when? I have not done a buddy read before.

I can offer my schedule. You offer yours. We will try to keep in sync, but life happens. In the past I have PM'ed my buddy to discuss. But we were doing a non-group read. I suggest when you and I are done, we review and let our group know a review is out there. What are your thoughts? Once you have tried it, you will probably have some ideas on doing it more to your liking. I will read Blindness and Things Fall Apart in Nov. A BIG thank you Kelly.

DANG! That book is almost 500 pages. I was going to jump in on this but I am currently reading a 500+ page Sci-fi book in prep for the 500+ page sci fi book for book club in December and feel completely overwhelmed, so I am going to pass. I am jelly though because that sounds awesome!

Okay. After digging seriously around and despairing that there was no audio for Things Fall Apart, I found it finally at our beloved Carnegie Library!! Only to find out that there are 22 people ahead of me on the list for the audio and 20 for the kindle book.
SO. I am not reading that this month.
BUT! I do own Blindness and I will save a Hoopla download for the audiobook for that so I can buddy read that when you all are ready!!! :-)

I like to do 10% a day. It keeps me from being overwhelmed and I can process a lot better that way too; will that work for you both?
