An author who publishes in different languages will indeed have multiple author pages on Goodreads. These should not be merged, as doing so undoes quite a lot of other librarians' work.

Please see https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/4...

lethe | 16368 comments But should (variations of) 'Princess' be part of the name? I know the example of Queen Elizabeth, but I thought that was more to do with being a reigning monarch.

ETA And if it should be part of the name, which nobility titles are allowed and which aren't?

Recently, 'George Gordon Byron' was allowed to be changed to 'Lord Byron', but only because that is how he is predominantly known and how the majority of his works are published.

In that I don't think Martha Louise is clearly her, yes. Queen Elizabeth has nothing to do with whether she is the reigning monarch, but because "Elizabeth" is confusing.

lethe | 16368 comments Yes, I looked up the wording in the manual just now and it says "Authors whose titles are kept to avoid confusion should be sorted under their first name".

Personally, I would think that "Märtha Louise" is distinguishing enough, but oh well.

Stine Berg (stiinee) | 579 comments Ok, it is ok to have the different princess title. And so link to the other authour page's in the about sections.

But on some book edition she have just the name for example "Martha louise", and not the two dots over the letter "a" (like this: https://www.goodreads.com/author/show...). Could for example this name be changed to Märtha louise, so it not will be so many? At the cover picture she have the princess title on for example this book too, but this is not written in the author felt her at goodreads.
