RhomanE2 Eyere John Midas loves chocolate. He thinks there is nothing better than it. One day he finds a candy shop that he’s never seen before. He has no money but the man gives him a box for free. After eating it, everything that goes in his mouth turns to chocolate.

I liked this book, I feel like this book has 2 morals to the story. Don’t lie, even if it’s just a little one. For John, he lied about sneaking chocolate and other types of candy. It cost him a lot throughout the story. He didn’t get to finish his test, he lost his best friend, and everyone laughed at him when his trumpet turned too. Being selfish. All John ever wanted to do was eat candy. John could not understand the effect his eating habits were having on his parents. While she was crying, he went up to kiss her and she turned to chocolate. He goes back to the mans shop and tries to reverse it, John even offers his own freedom to save his mother. This makes the man realize that John is no longer and selfish kid. When he returns home his mother is back to normal.
