And the popular winner by a landslide is...

Tipping the Velvet

Randomizer selected...

Slaughterhouse-Five

Which books will you be reading in december

message 2: by Dree (new)

Dree | 243 comments I read Tipping the Velvet last summer, but I have never read Slaughterhouse Five, so I will go for that one! I even have it.

I have Tipping the Velvet, haven’t read it. So that will be my choice. I have read Slaughterhouse Five previously, so probably won’t get to that one.

George P. | 725 comments I voted for tipping the velvet so I will definitely be reading that. I read most of Vonnegut's books when I was in college many years ago including slaughterhouse five. I was actually in a college play of slaughterhouse five- I played Billy Pilgrim.

Gail (gailifer) | 2174 comments I also have read Slaughterhouse Five, so will be reading Tipping the Velvet.

Tracy (tstan) | 559 comments Yay! I’ll be reading Tipping the Velvet. I’ve read Slaughterhouse Five.

Kelly_Hunsaker_reads ... | 902 comments I read Tipping the Velvet for the Diversify book so Slaughterhouse Five it is.

Pip | 1822 comments They are both books I have wanted to read for a long time, though I own neither. Will sim for both.

message 9: by Diane (new)

Diane | 2044 comments Already read Slaughterhouse-Five, so I will read Tipping the Velvet.

message 10: by Chinook (new)

Chinook | 282 comments I aim to read Tipping the Velvet, but I love Vonnegut so maybe a reread too. Granted, life is busy.

George P. | 725 comments Nice to see we'll have a good group of readers. Tipping the Velvet is one of what I call "star" (*) books within the 1001 list, which are books with an avg rating of at least 4.0 on Goodreads and at least 40 thousand ratings. It's avg rating is 4.00, so it just makes it. I know of 108 of those, of which I've read about 3/4 now.

message 13: by Paula (new)

Paula S (paula_s) | 220 comments I have both on my TBR, so hopefully I'll get around to reading at least one of them.

Any volunteers for moderating one of our books in December?

Kelly_Hunsaker_reads ... | 902 comments I could do Slaughterhouse Five if nobody else wants it.
