Author names in non-Latin scripts

Couldn't find a clear answer to that.

So we have an author who published a work in a language which doesn't use Latin script and his name is written on the cover accordingly.

So what are we supposed to do?

1. Romanise name everywhere.
2. Leave the name in original script on original releases, add the romanised name as secondary (or primary for combining with translated editions) similarily to how the pen names are handled.

Seen both, and not sure which one is supposed to be correct.

And if 2. is correct what about editions that use a non-Latin script for a name that originally was in a different script?

If the author was translated into English or another Western language, the English/international name should be primary on all books/editions. The name as it appears on the cover (if different) should be added as secondary author.

If an author has no translated works, there is no need to add the name in Western script.

For Western authors translated into non-Western languages, the name as it appears on the cover should be added as secondary.
