In a way I do agree with this quote if you don't stand up for yourself at one point like when your a kid then who knows maybe when your older you won't be able to stand for yourself either then you might think back maybe if I would have stood up for myself when I was a kid I wouldn't let people push me around now.But then again you never know some people do change they get picked on when their kids and then stand up for themselves when they are adults.
I agree with this quote because if you don't ever stand up for yourself, you'll never have the confidence or courage to fight for what you believe in. Others will step over you.
Yes, I agree with this quote because if you have never tried something out of your comfort zone, you're never going to ever have the courage to try it. But then again, people change when they've had enough of something so they can end up standing up for someone that they cherish.
I agree because if the boy does not have the courage to stand up for himself or his belief, how will he stand up against others and protect his belief.
I agree with this quote because if all your life, you never learn to stand up for yourself, you'll never have learned to stand up for others. No one can go from being a coward one day to a hero the next and staying that way.
I agree with this quote because if you never stand up for yourself you don't really grow as a person. So you can't stand up for anything else like your friends, your beliefs, etc because you can't even stand up for yourself.
I agree because when you were born you learned to stand up for yourself and not run away from it. You need to have confidence and show them who's the boss. Your friends can't be the only one stand up for you because when its their turn you're the one helping them.
I don't know whether to agree with this quote or not, because as a boy, yes he did not stand up for anything, but as a man, he came back to fix and stand for something. He stood up for Sohrab. He couldn't do what he should have done a long time ago, so when he went back to Afghanistan, to redeem himself from blaming himself all his life, he helped Hassan's little boy. To be able to stand up for something really hard, one must have a reason that's persuasive enough to really push that person to a right decision. He could finally stand up for something because Sohrab was his nephew and he tried to do this good deed to free himself from the old fault he was in.
I agree with this quote because if running away is your only answer then you'll be running away your whole life. You can run but your problem will always be there. So if you finally learn the stand up for yourself , you learn to stand up to any problem that awaits you.
Do you agree? Yes, no? Why, why not?
