ABANDONED. Fantasy dwarf, elf, and human princesses go off to monster to save their kingdom

I read this generic fantasy book around 2010-2012 I think. There's an island with dwarves, elves, and humans; there's' a dwarf princess, elf princess, and human princess who are all friends. One day some bad monsters threaten to do something bad unless the island hands over the three princesses, but the people refuse. To save their island, the princesses decide to sneak off in a boat and offer themselves up to the monster. They meet a snarky human man (who's naked when we first meet him and says something stupid to the human girl who's hiding her face like "Haven't you seen a naked man before?). He berates them for being stupid and says monsters will use them as leverage since their island and parents love them very much. Halfway through, it's revealed that the elf princess is actually her fiance disguised as her. At the end of the novel, it's revealed that she died while they were on their journey (elves wear white in mourning). Also, humans wear one long piece of cloth that they wrap elaborately around themselves. Hope you guys can find the book!
