I am excited to announce we have a winner for our monthly selection for October 2018. It is Something Wicked This Way Comes. Post your thoughts and comments about this book, let's start a conversation. Enjoy Reading. 🍂

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) I read this first time years ago and it remains one of my favorite reads Both for atmosphere and characterization it's top notch (if I may indulge in slang in so august a company :) ). Add to that the book is also masterfully ploted and you can see why it's a classic.

Mike (the Paladin) (thepaladin) I grew up in the 1950s and was a teen in the 1960s, I remember the traveling carnivals. There was one we always went to in the fall as well as the county fair near our farm. The carnival people were always a group of their own and while they took our money "we" (the mundanes) were always outsiders in a way.

Jim and Will (Will led by Jim) slide into contact with a world more sinister and darker than they ever imagined...but there's the attractive side of that dark world to. The book captures a lot of that feeling and Fall itself is a character in the story.
