Wierd Writer's "Curses" (Warning: this thread may be cursed")

Warning: By joining this thread, you may be brushing shoulders with the "curses" or uncanny patterns that other writers suffer (or perceive that they suffer) from.

I am starting this thread because I am preparing to deal with a particular "curse" that often strikes while I am writing--this one being my ability to dissolve all writers' groups that I join simply by showing up. I'm wondering what other odd "curses" other writers have, and what means others use to "deal" with them.

If you would like to share your particular "author's curse" with the group, please do. However, be warned: my curse, or somebody else's even more diabolical patterns, may kick in at any time.
